AT TIMES IN THE LIFE OF EACH OF US, WE ARE CALLED ON TO BEAR A CROSS THAT SEEMS TO US UNBEARABLE, THINGS MAY MAKE US FEEL A LITTLE DOWN IN THE MOUTH AND UNHAPPY. THERE IS ALWAYS COMFORT IN READING PSALMS FROM THE BIBLE, OR EVEN SAYING A PRAYER OR TWO CAN REALLY LIFT YOUR SPIRITS . HERE ARE JUST A FEW ONE FOR EACH MONTH. IN THIS NEW COLUMN, I HOPE THAT IT CAN HELP SOME OF YOU FEELING A LITTLE LOW AND CAN HELP BRING BACK THAT INNER GLOW WE ALL HAVE.   JANUARY MATTHEW 6 : 33-34 "But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." FEBRUARY PSALM 32 : 8-11 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous, sing all you who are upright in heart. MARCH CORINTHIANS 13 : 1-13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging symbol. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self seeking it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails, but where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues they will be stilled, where there is knowledge it will pass away. For we know in part and prophecy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love. APRIL MATTHEW 10 : 28-33 Do not be afraid of those that can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. JUNE CORINTHIANS 10 : 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted , he will also provide a way out so that you can also stand up under it. JULY ROMANS 10 : 17 "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard from the word of Christ. AUGUST PSALM 46 God is our refuge and strength and ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the Holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, Kingdoms fall; He lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our Fortress. Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolation's he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear. He burns the shields with fire. "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exhalted among the nations, I will be exhalted in the earth." The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. SEPTEMBER MARK 11 : 22-24 "Have faith in God" Jesus answered I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain. "Go throw yourself into this sea". and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he said will happen, It will be done for him. "Therefore I tell you, Whatever you ask for in prayer, Believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, So that your father in heaven may forgive you your sins." OCTOBER COLOSSIANS 3 : 15-17 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. NOVEMBER HEBREWS 13 : 1-6 Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are ill-treated as if you yourselves were suffering. Marriage should be honoured by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. because god has said "Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence "The Lord is my helper , I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" DECEMBER PROVERBS. 3 : 13-18 Blessed is the man who finds Wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. long life is in her right hand; in her left has no are riches and honour. her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
